Why do we like this?
The east side of Detroit is home to a slew of young and talented musicians at the moment. Inspired by the city's history of garage punk, the blues, and of course, Motown, it's not too surprising. Following the release of their full-length, Basement in 2018, the Toeheads are back in business with their 2019 EP, Together Now.
This track is raw and narrated by bassist Joey Hanania's extreme fuzz pedal, tying together the band's signature sound. From the frantic and dizzying start to the faded outro, the Toeheads unleash their unhinged garage rock.
