Why do we like this? Native to South Side Chicago, Wyatt Waddell has chosen the path of speaking out against the systemic police brutality in light of the recent protests across the nation. "FIGHT!" is a beautiful anthem of empowerment for all of those who are signing petitions, showing up to protests, and demanding legal action in the cases of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and thousands more killed at the hands of police.
Waddell's soulful and upbeat perspective on the track is inspired by his passion for racial justice, he states:
"When all the protests were happening, I spent a lot if time trying to process everything that I was feeling. I noticed that I always make songs from my point of view. It is the artist’s job to reflect the times that they live in. I knew that was something I always wanted to do, but I had to grow into that role."
